Since March 2020, the Competence Center for Aerospace und Defense Technology at EDAG Engineering GmbH has been operating under the name EDAG aeromotive.
The EDAG aeromotive success story has its origins in the year 2011:
Originally a department for aerospace technology under the umbrella of the former BFFT Gesellschaft für Fahrzeugtechnik mbH, the aim was always to take innovative vehicle technologies and transfer them to the aerospace industry.
Despite the high quality standards in aerospace engineering, the department recorded steady growth until, in 2013, an independent company was founded – BFFT aeromotive GmbH.

Thanks to our expertise in the aerospace industry, we achieved important milestones for the further development of the company in the period after its foundation:
In 2013, the company’s founding year, our customer and partner Airbus Defence & Space named us their StratX 2020 Supplier. This confidence was the basis for positive corporate development and for the framework agreement with Airbus Defence & Space for the supply of temporary staff. Since then, applicants from EDAG aeromotive have had the opportunity not only to apply for in-house projects, but also to work on-site for one of the largest aerospace groups in the world.
Our ambitions and the high standard of our own services are of fundamental significance at EDAG aeromotive.
The resulting service strength is highly appreciated by both our customers and our employees. On the strength of our high quality standards, we took up the challenge of the stringent DIN ISO 9001 audit in 2015, passing the recertification audit as a result of our outstanding performance.
By obtaining the “unlimited permit for temporary employment” from the Federal Employment Agency in 2016, we laid another important foundation stone for a successful future in aviation and defense technology. This is the result of the high expectations we place on ourselves, of unclouded motivation and unique team spirit.

Since 2019, BFFT aeromotive GmbH has been part of the EDAG Group.
In March 2020, BFFT aeromotive GmbH became EDAG aeromotive GmbH. With this change of name, EDAG aeromotive is reinforcing its relationship with the EDAG Group. As an integral part of the world’s largest independent engineering service provider in vehicle and production plant development, EDAG aeromotive, along with its customers and partners, now has access to the worldwide EDAG network.
We look forward to continuing to develop solution-oriented aerospace technologies in cooperation with our customers in the future, and therefore taking the next decisive steps on the way to becoming one of the leading national service providers for aviation and defense technology!
