HELMET-MOUNTED DISPLAY: PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT IN THE MIXED REALITY SECTOR
Aviation and defense technology is the first mover in the professional application of virtual and mixed reality technologies. In our project for a major customer in the aerospace & defense technology sector, this innovative technology is used in the prototype development of a new helmet-mounted display (HMD).
The aviation of tomorrow will make use of mixed reality to present scenarios. Due to the fact that our experts represent innovative features as presentation prototypes, we are able to derive the requirements for the next generation HMD for our customer. Implementation is by means of the Unity Technologies engine already established in the mixed reality sector.
For fast and cost-efficient presentation of the features, our experts use Microsoft Hololens 2, the leading consumer hardware in this field. For scenario-based testing of the prototype under realistic conditions, the aim is to have the prototype work together with a flight simulator and a large-screen display for tactical planning in the future.
At this interface, and in the continuous implementation of new features, we support our customers every day as we work towards one goal: to bring about the aviation mobility of tomorrow in collaboration with our customers.
